Xerox Research Center India (XRCI) awards PhD Fellowships to support students who are pursuing full time doctoral education at Indian universities in computer science and related areas. These are highly competitive awards, decided after a rigorous selection process that includes application, letters of reference, and selection by a panel of leading researchers.
XRCI awards limited PhD fellowships every year. The award includes a monthly stipend of INR 25,000 (INR 3 Lac annually), which will be disbursed during a maximum period of three years. This monthly sum can be used for tuition, books, stipends, and/or any other expenses. All Xerox Fellows are matched with an XRCI mentor according to the areas of interest for close research collaboration PhD fellows visit with XRCI intern, closely interact with the researchers at our lab and have first-hand experience with industrial research.
PhD Fellowship Eligibility
- Students enrolled in a full-time doctoral program in Computer Science or related areas at an Indian University qualify to compete for this award.
- Student must be nominated by his/her advisor with a recommendation from the head of the department.
- Student must have completed at least one year of study in their doctoral program at the time of their nomination.
